Quick Start Challenge 3.0 Week 2

Whilst I am still totally revamping my Blog’s appearance – apologies if it seems an odd mess at the moment – I am also working on the other tasks in Dean Holland’s Challenge.
I considered this one the most difficult so tackled it first – making a video of myself (Gasp-Horror), uploading it to You Tube, and embedding it here in my Blog.

So (with fingers firmly crossed) here goes the last part of that task:

Well, there it is – what a serious old geezer I look – have to paint on a smile for the next one eh?

John

Thank you Kevin, Steven and Gary – sorry if I kept you waiting – I just had to have one of those 15 minute Grandpa naps, only there were two grandsons here all day so it had to be extended to 30 minutes this time!
I will really try to be clear about what I’m doing with this new Blog as Grandma is always accusing me of being OBSCURE…
Trouble is she’s almost as deaf as me but doesn’t believe it yet, and having two deaf, daft and doubting Thomas’s in one room is sometimes a bit of a handicap! I can live with it though, I’ve already spent 48 years proving it.
(Not wishing to let that vanish into obscurity – I mean we’ve been married that long).
Thanks again, I’ll be Blog Hopping shortly, just give me a chance to warm up these old hopping muscles and I’ll be round to see you.

Hi, its Steven here from QSC,

Nice blog John! Sometimes, the most effective way to achieve your goals is to get out of your comfort zone. Try out new things. You’ll never know if you won’t at least try. Congrats on your first video.Keep it up and good luck!

John – GRATS!! You did it. As I suggested to another member maybe someone should write a book about how to avoid shinny objects. You could make millions.

Liked the video but made me smile towards the end when you finally cracked a smile.

    Smile 🙂 You’re on camera. 😮

    Hello John

That was a really nice video and I liked the quip about having a shave for the video. Last year when I was recording videos for my membership site, I had a dedicated set of clothes for the video series and of course I had to remain clean shaven throughout. Despite making plenty of videos, I would still rather not be in front of the camera.

Glad you are one of the action takers and this time lets have neither of us fall back into hobbyist mode

I am looking forward to seeing how we progress over the next 3 weeks, especially the part that wants us to write a good post every day. And as for doing a video? still it looks like you are off to a good start here.

    Hi John

I liked your approach of tackling first what is difficult & challenging.

We should never run away from challenges but embrace them.

    Great.

Can you explain why your site is named “Marketing With BT” ?
Here in UK BT is the large company British Telecommunications and most of us Brits are therefore likely to associate your site with that…

    Hi John,
I loved your video! You were talking so naturally! I really chuckled when you said you shaved! I have been “trying” to do IM for a while and just never buckled down to do it. That’s why this Quick Start Challenge is so good…it forces us to do the work and get out of the comfort zone! Let’s check with each other often to keep each other accountable in taking action in our business!
